stir fry spinach recipe is iron packed recipe as it uses spinach, almonds and raisins and they are an excellent source of iron. this dish can be served as a side dish along with your regular meals and what better way to include iron in your diet. the recipe is very easy as it requires only sauteing and tossing.

you can also make a slight variation in this recipe by adding some caramelized onion or sprinkling toasted sesame seeds all over. you can use olive oil instead of butter as well.

Sauteed Spinach

Spinach with Almonds and Raisins

  • 1 bunch baby spinach
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 8-10 almonds, blanched, peeled and slivered
  • 8-10 raisins
  • a pinch of crushed black peppercorns
  • salt as required

Directions for making stir fry spinach with almonds and raisins recipe

1. Heat butter in a pan and fry almonds and raisins, remove and keep aside.

2. In the same pan add chopped garlic, saute for 30 seconds.

3. Add spinach, cover and cook till the spinach wilts, tossing in between.

4. Add in the fried almonds and raisins, cook for few minutes.

5. Season with black pepper and salt, toss everything well.

6. Yummy and healthy stir fry spinach with almonds and raisins is ready. Serve as a side dish along with your regular meals.
